About Us
REACH Institute is a movement for healing-centered systems change. We equip schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations with the tools to become more inclusive, trauma-informed, and equity-driven. Rooted in research and guided by real-world experience, our work supports institutions in creating spaces where belonging, care, and justice are not just values, but everyday practices.
Mission
To advance trauma-informed, equity-centered practices across education, healthcare, and community systems through research, training, and collaborative partnership, fostering environments where healing, belonging, and access are possible for all.
Vision
A world where institutions are rooted in care, shaped by inclusion, and guided by the wisdom of those most impacted, creating sustainable systems of support that honor every person’s dignity and potential.
Our Story
REACH Institute was born from a simple but powerful question: What would our systems look like if they truly centered healing?
In the early days, our founders, a diverse group of educators, researchers, and community leaders, came together around a shared frustration: too often, institutions respond to trauma and inequity with short-term solutions and disconnected strategies. We knew that meaningful change would require more than one-time trainings or policy updates. It would require a shift in mindset, structure, and culture.
So we created REACH: Research for Education, Access, Care & Healing.
From the beginning, our goal has been to bridge the gap between knowledge and action — helping organizations not only understand trauma but transform because of it. We partner with schools, hospitals, nonprofits, and communities to co-create systems that are inclusive, data-informed, and rooted in real human connection.
What started as a local initiative has grown into a trusted national partner — and a growing movement, for those ready to lead with empathy, equity, and courage.
This is more than our work. It’s our purpose.
